at the intersection of Spy Run Avenue and Tennessee Boulevard

Allen County sent more than 4,000 men, nearly a third of its male population, to fight in the Civil War. Almost 500 lost their lives. They fought at Atlanta, Chickamauga, Gettysburg, Lookout Mountain,  Missionary Ridge, Shiloh and Vicksburg. This monument to their service was erected in 1894.
